The FIFA Women's World Cup™

The FIFA Women's World Cup™ is the largest women’s sporting tournament in the world. 

In 2023 it will bring together the top 32 women’s football nations of Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).  The tournament was first contested in 1991 and has been held every four years since.

Australia and New Zealand have been regular participants in the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ with New Zealand taking part in the inaugural edition and both nations featuring in the last four editions (2007, 2011, 2015, 2019).  A month-long festival of colour and excitement, the FIFA Women's World Cup™ showcases some of the best athletes in the world.
